Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to double the tourist cashback when buying tours to the Far East.
“To provide for an increase to 40 thousand rubles of the maximum amount of payment for reimbursement of part of the cost of a paid tourist product purchased by a citizen in order to make a tourist trip to a constituent entity of the Russian Federation, which is part of the Far Eastern Federal District,”,” the instruction published on the Kremlin's official website says.
The government must fulfill Vladimir Putin's instruction by September 30. Currently, the maximum amount that can be received as part of the cashback is 20 thousand rubles.
According to RBC, for the first time, Vladimir Putin was offered to increase cashback for buying tours to the Far East in September 2021, after which the president instructed Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to implement this proposal by November 1, 2021.
