The Tourist Card will allow foreign tourists to pay when traveling in Russia. The card can be virtual or plastic “MIR”. When entering the Russian Federation, the user will be able to quickly activate the card and transfer the necessary amount of money to it, and send the money back to his bank card when leaving. At the same time, it is expected that the tourist will not face international restrictions. This was reported by Interfax.
“I hope that this will be done in the near future, but for now we are seeing that in 9 months more than 7.5 million foreign citizens entered our country, despite to all the horror stories and restrictions that unfriendly countries tell everyone,”, said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Tour operators believe that the “Tourist Card” and the electronic voucher will restart inbound tourism in Russia.
