Dubai tightens rules for visitor visa holders

The 10-day grace period for Dubai Visitor Visa holders has been cancelled. Now fines for late renewal of visas will accrue immediately and amount to 50 dirhams per day (about 1100 rubles).

To avoid “sanctions”, holders of visitor visas must renew them before the expiration date or leave the country.< /p>

Other emirates of the UAE have already canceled this grace period. In November 2022, the Dubai authorities standardized visa regulations for tourists and residents, reducing the fine for overstaying visas for tourists and visitors from AED 100 to AED 50 per day and increasing it for residents from AED 25 to AED 50 per day.

Recall that the new UAE visa rules allow tourists to stay in the country for up to 60 days and extend visas for 30 days within six months.
