Easter exhibition of contemporary art opened in Zaryadye Park
In the Underground Museum of the Zaryadye Park the 12th exhibition of the SOVRISK project has opened #napotoke — a cycle of successive contemporary art exhibitions featuring works by contemporary Russian artists. The special exposition dedicated to Easter included works by artists participating in the After the Icon project. The chamber space of the Underground Museum presents painting, sculpture and video art. Among the participants – Maxim Demin, Mikhail Rogov, Denis Ivannikov, Elizaveta Chervyakova, Raisa Lyseninoa, Nikita Kulinich, Nika Kletski, Svetlana Cheprova (aka foton sveta) and others. «Project “After the Icon” collects and shows contemporary artists who are engaged in a serious development of the Christian theme in their personal search. All the works in this exhibition are united by the theme of Easter, nine artists take part in it, and each one chooses a technique for the meaning that he wants to convey to the viewer, — said Anton Belikov, curator of the exhibition, candidate of philosophical sciences, artist, founder of the After the Icon project. “After the Icon” – an open art project dedicated to the search for a new artistic language and new expression in contemporary Christian art. The exhibition is open until May 22, 2022.
