Warning for tourists traveling on Easter holidays, officially announced in Germany. The reason is the high density of tourist traffic – according to forecasts, the number of people flying on vacation will reach the peak level of 2019, and even exceed it.
So, only Dusseldorf airport is preparing to send about 800 thousand tourists during the Easter holidays. It was in his official release that tourists were advised to “be patient”
“After a pandemic that has lasted for more than two years, people want to travel to world-famous holiday destinations such as Antalya, Dubai and the Canary Islands. As a result, this Easter week we will reach the peak level of 2019,” said Thomas Schnalke, CEO of Düsseldorf Airport. He also assured tourists that the airport has “thoroughly prepared for the operational difficulties that may arise.”
About 800,000 passengers are expected to depart Düsseldorf Airport during the two-week Easter holiday period between Friday, April 8 and Sunday, April 24th. In general, 6600 landings and takeoffs are expected. This is 5 times more passengers compared to the same period last year.
