The Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg approved the introduction of the resort fee and announced the terms for the entry into force of the law, if adopted.
“It is assumed that if adopted, the law will come into force on October 1, 2023. However, from this day until April 1, 2024, a zero fee rate will apply. Then it will be 100 rubles per day. The day of arrival will not be taken into account when calculating the fee “,” Kommersant quotes a message from the parliamentary press service.
It is specified that the funds raised will be used for the construction, reconstruction, maintenance and improvement of tourist infrastructure facilities , which will be selected based on the results of surveys of residents and guests of the city.
