Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi remain at the top of the preferences of domestic tourists – such data were announced by Tutu.ru experts, who presented the answer to the question in their study , where most flights are scheduled in April this year. “We analyzed tickets issued from March 1 to March 28 for a flight from April 1 to April 30 within Russia. The average check for a flight across Russia amounted to 8,273 rubles one way,” the experts said.
Top-3 is as follows:
- Moscow: the capital accounts for about 16% of bookings. The average check for a one-way ticket is 7,060 rubles. Most flights to Moscow in April are scheduled from Sochi, Mineralnye Vody, Surgut, Makhachkala and Ufa.
- St. Petersburg: about 9% of air tickets are issued to the northern capital. The average check for a one-way flight from other Russian cities is 6,570 rubles. Most air tickets to St. Petersburg were bought from Moscow, Sochi, Ufa, Samara and Kazan.
- Sochi with a share of almost 8%. Tickets are bought from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Ufa and Krasnoyarsk. And they pay an average of 8,339 rubles for a flight to Sochi one way.
Also, Mineralnye Vody and Kaliningrad entered the top 5 popular air destinations for April. Average checks for a flight to these cities are 7,636 and 7,475 rubles one way, respectively. The top ten also includes Ufa, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Makhachkala, Novosibirsk. In the “second tier” Surgut, Tyumen, Irkutsk, Kazan, Omsk, Samara, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Murmansk and Khabarovsk.
