Restrictions on flights to resorts have been extended again

Restrictions on the operation of the southern airports of Russia are expected to be extended – this time, until April. The corresponding order is published on the website of the Federal Air Transport Agency. Recall that the situation – especially the closed airport of Simferopol – is already beginning to affect the demand of tourists.

“Until April 1, 2022, 03:45 Moscow time, the temporary restriction of flights to the Russian airports of Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista has been extended,” the statement says. in the official message of the Federal Air Transport Agency. The agency adds that air carriers are advised to “organize the transportation of passengers on alternative routes using the airports of Sochi, Volgograd, Mineralnye Vody, Stavropol and Moscow.”

The rest of Russia's airports, including international ones, operate as usual.

Recall that airports in the south of the country have been closed since the end of February – with the start of a special operation in Ukraine for security reasons. In fact, they have not been working for a month. On the demand of tourists – who do not refuse the resorts of the Russian south – this has already begun to affect. Sochi, which was already in the top demand, received additional bonuses due to the open airport. But the Crimea, for the same reason – since the Simferopol airport is closed – significantly “sags”.
