Prefabricated hotels in 19 regions, including the most touristic Crimea and Sevastopol, should appear in the near future. Such an order is posted on the official website of the Government.
“Funds from the reserve fund of the Cabinet of Ministers will be used to build modular hotels with a total capacity of at least 2.5 thousand rooms and to equip other tourist infrastructure. Tourist objects will appear in 19 regions, including in the Crimea and Sevastopol, in the Krasnodar Territory and Kamchatka, as well as in the Tver, Tula and Yaroslavl regions. Including campsites and car campsites among the tourist sites.
“No matter how beautiful and unique a place is, if there are not at least basic comfort conditions, it will not become popular. Moreover, many people travel with children,” Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin commented on the initiative.
He also called for support for local initiatives to create prefabricated hotels. According to him, an increase in the number of such hotels will not only promote tourism in the region and increase the number of rooms, but also create new jobs. The undertaking has already been supported by business representatives who are ready to invest more than 4.5 billion rubles in such projects – it is noted on the website. It is also stated that this process is “part of the Government’s set of measures to ensure the development of the economy in the face of external sanctions.”
