The first group arrived in Antalya – the most popular foreign resort among Russians – children evacuated from Ukrainian orphanages. According to Turkish media, the first group of 185 people arrived in the resort city.
This grappa, consisting of 159 orphans and 26 guardians, arrived in Antalya by plane from Poland. It is specified that Ukrainian children will be placed in hotels where a significant number of Ukrainians live. The Ukrainian ambassador told reporters at the airport that this was the first group of children and more would arrive in the coming days. He thanked the Turkish government for the evacuation: “I hope the children will have a comfortable environment here and overcome the trauma of the events in Ukraine. I hope that we will be able to accept about 2,000 children from Ukrainian orphanages.”
