Another country has been added to the list of destinations where the Russian Operational Headquarters for Combating Coronavirus has lifted restrictions on regular and charter flights from Russian airports. Faraway Ecuador became such a state. Russian carriers are allowed to operate regular and charter flights to this country without restrictions.
Interestingly, some Russian tour operators offer tours to this South American country. However, it is clear that the country, to put it mildly, is not very well-known for staging charters, and most importantly, it is too far away. Ecuador is located in South America, where only long-haul Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 777-200LR will fly directly. Although they are in the “range” of Russian carriers, such flights will obviously be hindered by air sanctions – this is in addition to low demand and astronomical ticket prices.
