Ranking of the cheapest holiday destinations in Europe for the summer of 2022 published

The prestigious Turkish resort of Marmaris turned out to be the cheapest place to meet the “main tourist needs” available to tourists in Europe. This assessment was presented in a British study by Post Office UK. It's about the total cost of what “tourists are likely to buy during their summer holiday.” The list includes, for example, the cost of a three-course dinner for two with wine, a bottle of beer, a glass of wine, a can of Coca-Cola, a large bottle of water, a cup of coffee, sunscreen and insect repellent.

In summary Marmaris turned out to be the cheapest – the whole set can be purchased there for 31.45 euros. The second favorite in the rating of cheap resorts is not far behind – this is Sunny Beach in Bulgaria, where all this will cost 31.52 euros. The third place belongs to the Portuguese resort of Algarve – “the cheapest in the eurozone”, as the researchers noted. True, the cost has grown seriously – 53.49 euros

The fifth and sixth places were taken by Cape Town in South Africa and Cypriot Paphos. There, the “tourist kit” will cost 64.14 and 68.01 euros. By the way, in Cyprus, prices fell by 15% – the researchers add. The situation is similar in Greece.

The Costa del Sol, Funchal in Madeira are also in the top ten – here a set costs 77.18 euros, and Lanzarote in the Canary Islands in Spain 85.71 euros.

Interestingly, only one popular beach destination among our tourists got to the opposite edge – this is Dubai. The Icelandic Reykjavik became the leader in terms of high prices.
