Tropical Storm Mavar now in Japan
Tropical Storm Mawar; hit the island of Okinawa, which is the largest island of the Japanese Ryukyu archipelago.
As a result of natural disasters, in particular the Mawar storm, many domestic flights were canceled. In addition, eight people were injured.
According to representatives of the Japan Meteorological Agency, warm and humid winds brought by a tropical storm led to the onset of seasonal rains and created a dangerous situation, increasing the risk of floods and landslides.
According to forecasts, up to 35 cm of precipitation may fall by Saturday morning.
Recall that in May, Typhoon Mavar hit the island of Guam and became the most destructive in the last 20 years. It also brought heavy rains and tidal waves to the Philippines and Taiwan.
