Turkish Bodrum opened the summer season by accepting the first flight with tourists

In the popular Turkish city of Bodrum, which is located on the Aegean coast and is part of the resort province of Mugla, the opening of long awaited summer season. The news came from a statement from Bodrum Airport. The first tourists were not Russians, since our compatriots choose mainly the resorts of Antalya. British tourists arrived at the resorts. The first flight, as expected, was greeted solemnly.

It is specified that 180 vacationers flew on the wings of Easyjet and landed at Milas-Bodrum airport. According to press secretary Yasar Anter, tourists were met by the head of the TAV airport, Ichlal Kayaoglu, and his colleagues. Folk dances were performed at the exit from the airport, and tourists were greeted with flowers and sweets.

During the meeting, the pilot of the aircraft, staff and airport managers cut the cake together. The 180 British passengers then went by bus to Bodrum hotels. According to media reports, tourist sites in Muğla Province have already completed preparations before starting to receive their guests. The resorts also managed to put the rest of the infrastructure in order after the low winter season.

In connection with the opening of the beach season, Airport General Manager Ichlal Kayaoglu made the following statement: “We are pleased to welcome the first international flight of the season to our airport. We are working with stakeholders to ensure our passengers have a safe and comfortable journey during the pandemic. We expect passenger traffic to increase this season compared to last year. We hope that international flights will increase in the near future and we will welcome guests from all over the world.
