Unconventional preferences this summer: in addition to the growth in demand for foreign destinations, as well as the concentration of preferences by Russian tourists in both capitals – Moscow, St. Central Asia. These are the main trends of the summer vacation season 2022, which were identified by the experts of the Tutu.ru service. The rating was based on data on air tickets issued for flights from May 1 to August 31.
The statistics turned out to be as follows: the share of Russian destinations at the moment is 87%, foreign – 13%. By the way, foreign destinations, despite all the sanctions, have grown: a year ago their share was about 4%. The average bill for an air ticket in Russia is 8.8 thousand rubles, abroad – 15 thousand rubles.
At the same time, among foreign destinations, neighboring countries “broke out” to the first place: Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia,< br/>Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Azerbaijan. From purely tourist countries of the far abroad, Turkey, Israel and Georgia got into the Top 10.
As for domestic destinations, here the trend has also changed. First place was taken by Moscow – 18.2% of bookings, Sochi 10.8% and St. Petersburg 10.2%. The TOP-5 also includes Mineralnye Vody 3.4% and Kaliningrad 3%. At the same time, experts noted in a separate paragraph that if the southern airports open, then the top 20, and chances are that the top 10 will immediately be corrected – Krasnodar, Gelendzhik, Anapa and Rostov-on-Don will be included. But let us remind you that most carriers no longer count on this – flights for “private traders” to these airports are already canceled until September.
An interesting trend is that the top 3 tourists from the capitals actually coincided. For Muscovites for May and summer, Sochi, St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad are in the top 3. And tourists from St. Petersburg, respectively, Moscow, Sochi and Kaliningrad.
