This report usually publishes the most popular destinations of the summer season. In general, the top five most popular holiday destinations for Europeans, according to TUI, is as follows, and it differs significantly from the pre-Covid 2019 summer:
- Crete (Greece),
- Mallorca (Spain),
- Canary Islands,
- Rhodes Island (Greece),
- Antalya.
“Greece continues the upward trend of last year and is in high demand in the Nordic countries and France in particular, and is preferred by vacationers in these countries. Among the Greek islands, in addition to Crete, Rhodes and Kos are in high demand. Among the destinations of Spain, the Balearic Islands stand out, especially the island of Mallorca. The latter remains a favorite holiday destination for the Germans, the Belgians choose the mainland destinations of Spain. Turkey triumphantly returns to the list after the pandemic; it is in great demand among German vacationers, as well as English and Dutch tourists. Most popular destination: Antalya,” TUI said.
As for sorting preferences by country, according to this atlas, the German-speaking world – in addition to tourists from Germany, it also includes Austria and Switzerland prefer Mediterranean destinations. In the first place among German tourists is Mallorca, followed by Antalya, which is confidently returning, in third is the Greek island of Crete. Greece is also popular in Austria, followed by the Austrians in Antalya, followed by Mallorca and the Croatian Adriatic coast. The Swiss voted for Greek Kos, followed by Mallorca and Antalya.
