The program provides an opportunity for young people to travel around the regions of Russia and stay at university campuses and dormitories at affordable prices. According to the office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, the following travel directions will be available to participants:

  • Popular science tourism – trips for the purpose of professional development, internships in industries, participation in scientific events, writing scientific papers ;
  • Career-oriented tourism – trips for short-term immersion in specialties of interest, changing the direction of study, specialization, acquiring new skills and competencies;
  • Cultural, educational and recreational tourism – trips for the purpose of cultural and personal development.

Dmitry Chernyshenko specified that in 2022 155 universities and 98 cities of Russia will take part in the program. At the same time, it will be possible to go on a trip not only in the summer, but also during the school year. The program can be used by university students of all forms of education, young scientists, graduate students and residents participating in research activities, as well as schoolchildren – winners of the All-Russian competition “Big Change”. This was reported by TASS.

“Employed youth under 35 years old, finalists, activists and participants in competitions of the ANO platform “Russia is a country of opportunities” will also be able to travel under the youth and student tourism program. According to preliminary calculations, more than 10 thousand young people will take advantage of the program. Over 450 original tourist products, events and various cultural and educational programs have been developed for them,”, said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
